Freezer Van for Rent in Abu Dhabi

Premium Chiller Transport rents freezer vans across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi from its own yard in Musaffah (M17). Each van is pulled down to −18 °C before handover and holds it door to door, for ice cream, frozen meat, poultry and seafood. Rent self-drive or with a trained driver, by the day, the month or on contract — with 24/7 dispatch.
Frozen stock has no margin for error in 45 °C heat. One soft pallet of ice cream or a thawed carton of shrimp is a rejected delivery, so every hire is set up to keep the hold hard-frozen from the cold store to the last drop.

Abu Dhabi summer vs. your freezer hold

  • +45 °C typical summer ambient
  • 0 to +8 °C chiller van range
  • −18 °C freezer van — held in transit

What you get when you rent a freezer van in Abu Dhabi

A freezer van earns its keep on the hottest afternoon, on the longest route, at the last drop. Every hire is built around getting frozen stock there still frozen.

Pre-frozen before you load

The hold is pulled down to −18 °C before handover, so frozen stock never goes into a box that is still catching up after sitting in the sun.

Drivers who handle frozen stock

Short door openings, unloading in route order and no idle time with the doors open — the habits that decide whether ice cream arrives firm.

Daily, monthly or contract

Hire for a single delivery, run a van on a discounted monthly rate, or set up a dedicated freezer van on a fixed long-term contract.

Temperature records on request

When a retailer, hotel group or importer needs proof the cold chain held, ask for monitoring and a log of the journey.

Serviced units, backup van

Freezer units work harder than chillers, so they are serviced on schedule. If a contracted van needs work, a replacement goes out.

24/7 dispatch

Night restocking and early-morning retail drops are routine. Breakdown of your own freezer vehicle? Use our emergency transport service.

Freezer van sizes available in Abu Dhabi

Freezer vans carry thicker insulation than chiller vans, so usable volume is slightly smaller for the same vehicle size. We size the van to your cartons, pallets and drops.

Vehicle Temperature Typical Abu Dhabi use
1-ton freezer van −18 °C Ice cream and frozen dessert drops to cafés, groceries and hotel outlets on the island
2-ton freezer van −18 °C Daily frozen restocking for restaurants, butcheries and cloud kitchens
3-ton freezer van −18 °C Supermarket and frozen-food distributor routes across the mainland and Al Ain
5-ton freezer van −18 °C Bulk frozen meat, poultry and seafood from Musaffah and ICAD cold stores
Freezer truck −18 °C Pallet loads from KIZAD and Khalifa Port and inter-emirate frozen runs
Multi-temperature van Frozen + chilled zones Hotels and caterers moving frozen and fresh stock on one route

Share your carton count, pallet count and number of drops and we will confirm the exact vehicle. For large volumes, see refrigerated truck rental.

◆ CONFIRM FREEZER FLEET SIZES

Check that 1, 2, 3 and 5-ton freezer vans are all in the current fleet and add usable payload figures for each before publishing. Remove any size you do not run.

Why frozen deliveries fail in Abu Dhabi — and how we prevent it

A freezer van holds temperature; it does not create it

The most common cause of a rejected frozen delivery is stock that was never fully frozen when it was loaded. A freezer van is designed to keep product at −18 °C, not to pull warm cartons down. Load straight from the cold store, at temperature, and the van will hold it there.

Every door opening costs degrees

With summer air above 45 °C, each opening lets hot, humid air into the hold. On a ten-drop route the losses add up fast. Our drivers keep openings short, stage cartons by drop order before the door opens, and never leave the van open while paperwork is signed.

Ice cream is the least forgiving load

Ice cream that softens and refreezes forms large ice crystals and loses its texture, even if it looks frozen on arrival. For dessert distributors across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain we plan routes so the unit runs continuously and ice cream comes off first. See our ice cream delivery vans page for more.

Long runs to Al Ain and Al Dhafra

Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate in the UAE. A frozen run from Musaffah to Al Ain or Ruwais means hours in peak heat, so the van is pre-frozen, loaded tight and routed without unnecessary stops.

Food safety rules in the emirate

Vehicles that carry food in Abu Dhabi fall under the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA). Clean holds, correct temperatures and records that can be shown on inspection are part of how we operate.

Starting rates in AED, excluding 5% VAT. Your exact price is confirmed on a written quote before you book. Freezer vans cost around 15–20% more than a chiller van of the same size, because the unit works harder and burns more fuel at −18 °C.

What the rate includes

  • Cold-chain trained driver for one working shift
  • Pre-cooling to your set point before handover
  • Fuel for runs within Abu Dhabi city and Musaffah
  • Vehicle insurance and refrigeration unit servicing

What can change the price

  • Longer routes — Al Ain, Al Dhafra and inter-emirate runs are quoted per trip
  • Extra hours beyond the shift, night work or overnight standby
  • Temperature logging and printed reports for audits
  • Peak dates — Ramadan, Eid and major event weekends book up first

Send us your route, load and dates for a firm price the same day, or see all vehicles on our pricing page.

How to load a freezer van so stock stays frozen

Whether you drive yourself or use our driver, these steps make the biggest difference to arrival temperature.

01

Load at −18 °C

Take stock straight from the cold store at temperature. Never top up a frozen load with product that has been standing on the dock.

02

Keep air moving

Stack tight, but leave space below the ceiling and in front of the evaporator so cold air can circulate around the whole load.

03

Stage by drop order

Load the last drop first. At each stop, the right cartons are at the door and the hold is open for the shortest time.

04

Close, then sign

Shut the doors before paperwork, check the display between drops, and call us if the set point does not recover.

Freezer van or chiller van — which do you need?

If the product label says “keep frozen”, you need a freezer van. If it says “keep refrigerated”, you need a chiller van. Mixing them up damages stock either way.

Freezer van rental in Abu Dhabi: common questions

How much does it cost to rent a freezer van in Abu Dhabi?

Freezer van rental in Abu Dhabi starts from AED 300 per day, AED 1,800 per week or AED 6,500 per month for a 1-ton freezer van, and from AED 520 per day for a 5-ton freezer van. Rates exclude VAT and include a trained driver, pre-cooling and fuel within Abu Dhabi city; longer routes such as Al Ain are quoted per trip. Monthly and long-term hire lower the cost per day. See all vehicles on the pricing page.

Our freezer vans hold a set point of −18 °C, the standard temperature for frozen food. If your product specification calls for a colder set point, as some ice cream and seafood contracts do, tell us when you book and we will confirm whether a van can hold it for your route.
No. A freezer van is built to keep frozen goods frozen, not to freeze warm or chilled products. Load stock that is already at −18 °C, straight from the cold store, and the van will hold it there. Warm product raises the temperature of everything else in the hold.
Yes. Every freezer van can be rented self-drive or with one of our drivers, who are trained to keep door openings short, unload in route order and protect frozen stock across multi-drop routes.
Same-day hire is often possible because vans are dispatched from our yard in Musaffah, subject to availability. A freezer hold takes longer to pull down than a chiller, so booking 24 hours ahead lets us hand the van over fully at temperature — especially during summer and Ramadan.
Yes. We cover the whole Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain and the Al Dhafra region as far as Ruwais, with longer runs planned so the unit runs continuously and the most sensitive stock is unloaded first.
Yes. For pallet loads and bulk frozen distribution from KIZAD, Khalifa Port or Musaffah cold stores, a freezer truck is usually more economical than several vans.
Yes, with a multi-temperature van that has separate frozen and chilled compartments. For chilled-only loads, a chiller van in Abu Dhabi at 0 to +8 °C is the right choice.
